As the days in life increase, our references to the “remember when’s” also seem to increase.
We each need more remember when’s.
Days in the future that we look back on in the past and recount how great that day was, or that event, or that person who made our life better.
None of us want to look back at our life and have a long list of regrets that include events we should have experienced.
A favorite author of mine, Richard Bach, is quoted as saying, “Some choices we live not only once, but a thousand times over, remembering them for the rest of our lives.”
Or it could be the remembrance of a choice we did not make, and it too remains with us for the rest of our lives.
The choices we make gives us the remember when’s.
The list I am creating are events I want to happen, that will happen, so that when they do happen, I can look back on these new remember when’s with pride and amazement, that they did in fact happen.
And not be left with pulling out the tired book of memories of days gone by that I can only faintly remember.
I am remembering into the future so that I might create a past I wish to remember.
