An Everyday Expression of Hope and Its Potential

An Everyday Expression of Hope

The Mind…A Bottomless Pit

September 25, 2020 by John Hembree Leave a Comment

If asked to name my top three favorite quotes, number one and three would be by Charles Spurgeon.

One speaks to hope in an impossible situation.

And the other speaks of the deepest darkest place one can go…into the depths of the mind.

If you study people we see as accomplished or having stood against some great challenge, they went through some very dark places.

Dark clouds, silence, a loneliness not easily understood.

As Spurgeon said, the body is can withstand only so much before it succumbs.

But not the mind.

A descent where hope, though distant, may be all that we have.

A small bundle of joy we cling to…called Hope.
