…I am caught up, mesmerized and captured by it.
The beauty of a painting, a piece of music, even a person can be interesting, intriguing and alluring.
Beauty is not defined by one’s physical features.
Physical features will one day diminish.
It is the shallow minded that believe that physical features are the true depiction of their own beauty.
They are not.
It is the soul.
It is the soft spoken “Good morning.”
It is the heart felt, “Good night.”
It is the memory of times spent.
It is the hope for times to come.
Beauty is found in words.
Both written and spoken.
A beautifully spoken word to the blind man is as beautiful as the written word to the man with sight.
It is a short note and a hand written letter.
It is when her hand reaches out to take yours.
It is her tear on your arm.
It is when you see her future before she does.
It is when she knows your past and loves you anyway.
Beauty can be found in a long, long, hug.
It is a young mother’s love for her children.
It is the sacrificing of personal want so that her children’s needs might be met.
Beauty is a breathtaking sunrise over the mountains and a calming sunset stretched over the expanse of the sea.
The memory of that which is beautiful and perfect, cannot be taken away.
It does not fade.
It cannot be replaced.
I read a beautiful passage tonight and it inspired the previously stated thoughts.
Then you will delight yourself in the Lord and look up to God. You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill all your promises to him. Whatever you wish will happen! And the light of heaven will shine upon the road ahead of you. If you are attacked and knocked down, you will know that there is someone who will lift you up again. The Book of Job
A beautiful passage indeed.
