An Everyday Expression of Hope and Its Potential

An Everyday Expression of Hope

61

September 10, 2020 by John Hembree 1 Comment

On my 61st birthday, I woke up, which always makes for a great start to a day…

…then hit the gym at 06:00 a.m., finished at 07:10 a.m., then at 07:45 a.m. ate two toasted peanut butter and honey sandwiches on honey wheat bread with three glasses of whole milk.

Sounds exciting?

Then working.

And during the course of those hours considered this question, “What else is left for me to do with the remaining years, days or hours that I have?”

Maybe it is to read this book and apply it to my actions.

Maybe it is to laugh more which I rarely do.

Maybe it is to invest into others.

Maybe it is to consider what I thought was truth was anything but not only on this day but many days now past.

Maybe it’s a quote from Our Town by Thornton Wilder.

“Choose the least important day in your life. It will be important enough.”

A lot to ponder within…and wonder aloud…and wander about…at 61.
