Have you ever sat and determined to think?
To quiet everything around you and reflect upon your life, random thoughts, stream of consciousness, that kind of thing?
To meditate upon the good things you enjoy.
If we would take more time to sit and do nothing, except to think.
For me, not even to read.
But to sit quietly with no outside interference.
I miss the times when I have found a chapel, old church or sanctuary and in the sacredness of that room opened myself to sit with God.
King David enjoyed these moments as well.
“Lord, here in your Temple we meditate upon your kindness and your love.” Psalm 48:9
We often hear that we just need to spend alone time with God.
Make a point to find a quiet place in a get a way moment.
Go in to this time with no preconceived plan as to how to spend these moments.
God may be as eager to sit with you as you are to sit with Him.
And to tell Him what you want most of all…still.
