Maybe you are dreading the new week.
Maybe you are wishing you were anywhere but where you are.
Possibly you are wishing you were anyone but you.
It is a new week.
You are right where you are supposed to be.
You are you.
Who else could you possibly want to be?
A teacher might say, “School is about to start in a couple of months and I am already exhausted.”
Should say instead, “I have been given the opportunity to impact the lives of children and I am developing the future of this planet, virtually, or in the physical classroom.”
A pastor might say, “Well, that’s it. It’s Monday. I resign again. So few people even care.”
Should say instead, “It is my honor to take the few that do care and build a moral foundation for this community.”
A business person might say, “It’s Monday. Businesses all around me are failing. We are going to experience a downturn in our business as well.”
Should say instead, “I have a chance to see what everyone else has obviously been overlooked. This is my opportunity to succeed.”
A coach might say, “If we get two wins this season we will be lucky.”
Should say instead, “I will lead this team to their greatest season yet.”
It’s Monday.
Tomorrow and the rest of this week can be determined by what you do with today.
Do not let one hour of the next twenty four be anything less than the very best you have to offer.
