The Six Most Important Words In Business

6 WordsShe was still young and not as experienced in the world of business as she will be some day.

I had sent her a text offering to assist her in placing her resume into the marketplace.

Her reply was, “Oh, okay.”

Not okay.

I texted her back, and I can thank her for this entry and it’s subject matter.

I texted, “May I offer you a little advice?  The six most important words in business are, “Good morning.”,  Good night.”, and, “Thank you.”

“Your welcome.”, is a seventh and eight word, but I did not include those because “your welcome”, is stated in response to, “Thank you.”

The most important words are initiated by who?

You.

“How ya doing?”, “Whatsupp.” and “Bout it now.”, are not substitutes for a confident, “Good morning…”, followed by the person’s name.

“Good night.”, same thing.

Next time you leave the work place in the early or late evening, say, “Good night…”, followed by the person’s name.

It just has a warming effect.

And the most underserved two words in the English language?

“Thank you.”

“Preciate it.”, or even, “Wow.  Thanks.”, does not have the same affect as “Thank you…”, followed by the person’s name.

These six words endear you to someone else.

Their use breaks down the walls of indifference in the work place.

They lessen the distance between employees.

These six words personalize you in the process of exhibiting just plain professional courtesy.
