An Everyday Expression of Hope and Its Potential

An Everyday Expression of Hope

The Unknown Future

March 31, 2020 by John Hembree Leave a Comment

Anyone that tells you they know what will happen in the future, even tomorrow?  They don’t know.

With millions of people in quarantine, isolation and working from home, no one knows what tomorrow holds.

No one.

Even today I am working from a make shift desk on a screened porch I affectionately refer to as a Florida room.

It is now for the unforeseeable future…my office.

Rarely do I use the word “worry”.

Yet, today, having little sleep, I am…worried.

Worried about my family, my friends, my job, my, my, my, my…my.

Then God filled this small screen porch covered with plastic panels and brought me to this verse.

“You, Lord, are all I have, and you give me all I need; my future is in your hands.”  Psalm 16:5

What more do any of us need to know than that?
