There are three things that remain – faith, hope and love – and the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians
With “faith” being the common denominator of the Christian life.
With “hope” being a crucial element of survival.
Why, just curious, is the word “love” the greatest of these three?
In the original writings there are no chapter division nor verse distinctions.
It is a letter from a person to a group of people.
In the middle of this letter the writer says that “love” is greater.
Then follows up with this statement, “Let love be your highest aim.”
Maybe it’s just me, but that is very interesting.
