In the book, Principles, by Ray Dalio, he has a chapter in which he describes what it’s like to be a “shaper”.
Dalio, a multi-billionaire himself, and founder of Bridgewater, has been described as the Steve Jobs of investing, describes shapers this way, “A shaper is someone who comes up with unique and valuable visions and builds them out beautifully, typically over the doubts and opposition of others.”
In reading Principles, it has given me a deeper level of understanding people of vision.
People of vision has long been an area of intense interest as to human potential and how truly unlimited it is.
In fact, recently in a men’s locker room at a gym the topic of discussion was this…”If no one told you something was impossible, what would keep you from doing it?”
Each of us are capable of so much more.
Be a shaper.
