An Everyday Expression of Hope

Square Peg In A Round Hole

January 16, 2019 by John Hembree Leave a Comment

Are you a square peg trying to fit in a round hole. I have only one question. Why are you doing that?

You may feel like the new kid in school who is trying to fit in, but it just isn’t working.

Your gifts and talents do not fit their needs.

Personally, I thought I had overcome trying to be the square peg in the round hole many years ago.

However, it is, I am discovering, a life long process, of which will never, never work.

If you are the square peg, which I tend to be, you can try to fit into the round hole many different ways.

It is not going to work.

You are not weird, different, stupid or lack any degree of social conformity.

You are square.

They are round.

You are designed in the shape that you are.

You are a square peg.

They are a round hole.

Whatever you do, do not re-shape yourself just to fit their need.

Be who you are designed to be.

Others will come along to fit their need.

Stay true to who you are and watch what happens.
