Someone asked me yesterday, “Are you aging? You look like you have aged over the last two weeks.”
I responded, “I am, and there is a specific reason, but, you would not believe me if I told you.”
Fortunately, they left it at that, though giving me a long questioning look.
When Billy Graham released the book Nearing Home, he was asked, “Why this book and why now?”
Billy Graham replied, “All my life I have been taught how to get to Heaven. No one ever taught me how to grow old.”
A simple but profound answer.
As we age, we strive to find the fountain of youth.
Some look in the gym.
Some look for potions and vitamin laced concoctions.
Personally, at 58 years old, my mind thinks I am 28, but my heart and soul is 38.
Aging is inescapable.
It is our heart, soul and mind that keeps us youthful.
It is our heart and soul that longs for that which we consider our fountain of youth.
