Many of those days however I would begin walking early in the morning.
Living in a semi-rural community, as I would walk I would occasionally stumble or veer off because I simply could not see, at times, not even a few feet ahead of me.
However, every morning when I would start in the dark a unique phenomenon would occur.
As I would walk further without taking any sudden notice to it, my vision would increase as the light of the day would slowly and gradually begin to overtake the darkness. I was no longer unsettled but confident in my steps.
In your life, you may be walking in the dark right now. Unsure, unable to see what is just beyond the next step, not knowing that if you continue in a certain direction that you can be assured this is the right path for you.
I cannot take the fear of the dark or the uncertainty away, nor can I give you light or vision to see.
What I can give you is the assurance that when I was walking, hoping I was going in the right direction, every single time I began my journey in the dark, eventually I would end my journey in the light.
Someone asked me recently, “How long should they wait on the Lord to move, to take action? How long will it be before God takes notice of their situation?”
I responded, “I have no idea. I wish I did. I guess, until He does.”
Keep walking in the direction you feel that God had set for you. Whether you realize it or not at this point on the journey, the path will eventually become clear and His light will guide your way.
“The Lord turns my darkness into light.” 2 Samuel 22:29
God will give you light for your journey.
