We believe what we think we saw, what we think we heard, what someone kinda said, what we made up in our own mind and made decisions on half of anything and everything…sight, sound and self fabricated.
Which can make life so difficult at times.
Because it is lived out only by things not yet seen, by faith if you will.
It is quite possible that your greatest days are behind you.
It is quite impossible that your greatest days are ahead of you.
And it is the impossibility of your future that you should choose to believe.
The masses believe in and follow the probable.
I would encourage you to believe in and follow the improbable.
That which seems hopeless.
That which likely has a “snowball’s chance” of happening.
If you are like me, you may feel extremely isolated at times from mainstream thinking, or even those voices which surround your life can be so loud they drown out the quiet internal voice within you that says, “Keep going.”
I can only hope that the impossible and improbable things you have stored up in your heart are quite possible and probable for your life.
And I want to you to hold on to the impossible and improbable promises that have been placed in your own heart for your own future, for your family and for those around you.
You make be thinking you are too old, too broke, to this and to that, that you have nothing to offer at this point in your life.
You are old enough with experience to validate what you are saying and writing, you have no self made resources, which means you are solely dependent upon others, and not having a current platform allows you to listen to your own inner voice and not the voices of men.
Someone else’s improbable is your probable.
Their impossibility is your possibility.
Their “no, no and no”, is your chance to say “yes, yes and yes”.
Your imperfect nature lends itself to seek the divine design for your life.
You may be on what you believe to be a highway to nowhere.
You have to got to change that perception to believe you are on a pathway to somewhere.
Maybe all you have is hope at this moment.
And hope for the moment is all any of us need.
If hope is what you do have, then give it away.
On my down days, and I certainly have them, that is when I purpose to give away what little hope I do have, to someone else.
Last week, I was surrounded by thoughts of challenges in my life.
That I was never going to be who I once was, (thank goodness), nor who I am intended to be.
It’s okay. We all go through those times. But in my hopeless moments, on multiple occasions, hope begins to rise up in me, and I become confident in that hope.
Here are two excerpts from notes or emails I sent to two individuals at a low moment in my own life.
Take the word, “rush”, out of your vocabulary.
You can not rush the plan for your life.
You are being aligned with the very people you have a “divine design” to meet.
What you are supposed to do and where you are supposed to be is headed straight toward you.
Heard a rumor that today is your birthday.
Just think, thirty one years ago today, over 7 billion people celebrated your birth.
And even from before that day, God had planned out your life from beginning to end.
And even though life, at times, looks a little upside down, you were born so specifically, so uniquely timed, that if you knew the details of that plan from beginning to end, it would absolutely blow your mind.
“Coincidence”, “fate” and “happenstance” are man made words.
“Divine design”…now those are words to live by.
Your greatest days are headed straight toward you…as are mine.
