An Everyday Expression of Hope and Its Potential

An Everyday Expression of Hope

Ooops! I Forgot Something!

February 10, 2018 by John Hembree Leave a Comment

Forgot SomethingMy youngest daughter, Suzanne, was preparing for a weekend college age trip.  With her packing reminders she wrote herself this note, “Also realize you probably left something, so when you realize what it is, just relax and move on because you’re not bringing it now.”

So applicable as we each move further into 2018.

We think we have it all figured out.

We have planned for this and prepared for that.

However, February through December is going to arrive and somewhere in that time frame you are going to say, “Ooops!  I forgot something!”

The unexpected curve ball…the non anticipated disappointment…you just didn’t see it coming moment.

When that moment happens consider the words of a nineteen year old packing for a weekend retreat, “Relax and move on.”

The moment will pass and the disappointment will soon disappear.

You will make it through the crisis which you did not foresee.

You can not plan for everything but you can gracefully and confidently survive anything.

Relax…breathe deep…you will be fine.
