“I fell in love with her when we were together, then fell deeper in love with her in the years we were apart.”
Nicholas Sparks, Dear John
I want to write like Nicholas Sparks, of love, of relationships, of tormented hearts, of the redemption of man through the uniting of two souls.
But life does not always turn out like a Nicholas Sparks book and movie, with strangers falling in love, dealing with separation and conflict, with a plot twist and almost always with a happy ending.
If in our lives we could merely turn forward the pages to see how our story is resolved in the final chapter.
In the story of our life we have to experience each page, each paragraph, each word, every comma and period.
On any given night I have more questions than I do answers.
I have more hope and expectation than I do anything else.
However, if God is the author of our lives and the finisher of our faith, then in the end, like Nicholas Sparks, God will write our lives in such a way that there will be love, tears, conflict, separation and a sense of loss at times. And their will be joy, enduring romance and a sense of peace interwoven into every chapter.
Let your life reflect a story that others would want to read.
