Perspective.
The key to understanding your past, current and future situation.
The way it seems is down…the way it is, is up.
The way it seems is out…the way it is, is in.
The way it seems is nothing…the way it is, is everything.
Sometimes we merely have to wait a moment for our perspective to be altered by the now focused truth.
One moment, she is crawling through the mob scene on her hands and knees.
The next moment, she is walking away, physically healed because she touched his clothing.
One moment, he cannot walk and is being lowered down through a roof by four of his friends.
The next moment, he is running and leaping, because his friends refused to give up on him.
One moment, he cannot see, blind from birth.
The next moment, his vision is perfect and all those around him are questioning, “What just happened?”
The way it seems is not always the way it is.
Place God in the middle of the situation and the way it seems is never the way it is.
The way it seems to you it is impossible.
The way it is, is, with God, all things are possible.
The way it seems to you is that you are going under for the last time.
The way it is, is, God grabs your hand to pull you up, never to go down again.
2 Corinthians 6:9-10 is uniquely worded.
Allow me to use The Living Bible translation to contrast the two.
The way it seems. “The world ignores us.”
The way it is. “But we are are known to God.”
The way it seems. “We live close to death.”
The way it is. “But here we are, still very much alive.”
The way it seems. “We have been injured.”
The way it is. “But kept from death.”
The way it seems. “Our hearts ache.”
The way it is. “But at the same time we have the joy of the Lord.”
The way it seems. “We are poor.”
The way it is. “But we give rich spiritual gifts to others.”
The way it seems. “We own nothing.”
The way it is. ” And yet we enjoy everything.”
Five “buts” and one “yet”.
See yourself as you are…see your life as it is.
It is all about perspective.
Gods.
