Job saw his future in the same way.
“Yet, finally, the innocent shall come out on top; above the godless; the righteous shall move onward and forward, those with pure hearts shall become stronger and stronger.” Job 18:8-9
A naked heart gives confidence.
I told someone just yesterday, I feel like I am thirty five years behind professionally and twenty years behind personally.
Other than that, I am doing okay.
As long as I do not look in the mirror and see the past as an indicator for my future.
Everyday, we each must look in the mirror and see our future, both the immediate, the pending and the distant.
I found a quote from a writing friend, Francine Knoll, which said, “You can’t make a future with memories.”
I can add nothing to that except to repeat it often.
“You can’t make a future with memories.”
