If I can catch them off guard and they do not turn on the automatic filter system we are built with, it is amazing what will come out of their mouths.
Sometimes, it is the oddest, most random expression of thought you could imagine.
The mind is so fascinating, so vast, with so many levels of unbelievable discoveries to be made.
Jot down this quote.
“A wise man’s words express deep streams of thought.” King Lemuel of Massa
A stream of thought, or stream of consciousness is, “a literary technique that presents the thoughts and feelings of a character as they occur.”
In the field of psychology, it is, “the conscious experience of an individual regarded as a continuous, flowing series of images and ideas running through the mind.”
Now try this.
Get a pad of paper, or a sheet of paper.
Place it in front of you with pen or pencil in hand.
Take a deep breathe or a few.
Clear your mind as best you can.
Turn your mental filter system off.
Count down from five and…
…then start writing every thought, word, utterance, that comes to your mind.
Do not think.
Do not try to construct sentences.
It may take a few times, but each time just jot it down.
No, not at all.
I do not even know what that means.
We think as we are programmed to think, based on our experiences, our surroundings, our day in day out environment.
You need not share it with anyone as it may not make any sense at all.
Yet, whatever you wrote down, did come from your mind.
Do not be scared of yourself.
We often are.
If we are fearful of ourselves, imagine the fear that we project to others.
Explore your mind.
Discover the unlimited potential that exists within your mind.
You may be a creative genius just trying to bust out.
