An Everyday Expression of Hope and Its Potential

An Everyday Expression of Hope

When Yesterday Meets Tomorrow

3_07Having a sleep disorder can be a blessing.

You have more time than others in a given twenty four hour period to accomplish tasks.

I have read, read and read and sleep will not come.

Nor did it come last night.

Since it is after 3:00 a.m., I thought I would at least express a few thoughts.

No wisdom nor wit.

Simply thoughts.

King David found himself, or rather, I should say that I found myself where he was in the following two verses.

“Early in the morning before the sun is up, I am praying and pointing out how much I trust in you.  I stay awake through the night to think about your promises.”  Psalm 119:147-148

David must have had a sleep disorder as well.

And it may have been 3:00 a.m. when he wrote this portion of Psalm 119.

When yesterday meets tomorrow.

Before the sun rises and after the sun has set.

Of all the thoughts that enter and leave my mind, I find one that remains.

Again, as David did.

The promises of God.

John
