Can God make a stone so big that He can not lift it?
My daughter, Suzanne and I, went to Stone Mountain, Georgia, last evening.
A daddy daughter date.
We climbed Stone Mountain just before sundown.
It was so quiet and peaceful.
As I reflected as to the size of this gigantic piece of stone we were standing upon, I reflected on that question.
It continued to stir me today and into the evening.
Can God make a stone so big that He can not lift it?
He is such a big God.
And I pray to him at times as though He is such a tiny God.
I am not referring to praying to God for fame and fortune.
I am talking about asking God to place you in matters that are of great importance.
For you to be spiritually and historically significant.
To impact another human being in an extraordinary way.
“With Your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.” Psalm 18:29
Possible?
As humans?
No.
As the extension of God upon the earth?
Absolutely.
When you pray, pray as though you are changing the course of history.
You are.
When you speak, speak as someone who has something to say.
You do.
When you carry yourself, do so with confidence.
Not arrogance, but confidence.
“For He that is within me…”
Take the rest of this day, and then tomorrow and squeeze out the potential of every moment.
Find someone to encourage and bring hope to them.
Give, live and love.
For in the end, you take nothing with you, but what you leave behind, that is the miracle.
John
Well said.
Thank you Chris.
This one is more easily written than it is lived out.
In my own life, that is.
