What was a single thought became a goal and the goal became an obsession and the obsession became my first marathon.
Not having a background in long distance running I had merely one goal each and every day, to keep going.
Over time 1 mile became 3.5, then 6.2, then 10 miles, then 13.1 miles, then 15.
On the day I ran 18 miles one month before the marathon I knew then I could complete the 26.2 mile course.
Timing did not matter, endurance did.
You have the ability to endure much more than you realize.
In whatever area of your life it may be, go as far as you can, and then go one more step.
Send out one more resume.
Reach down inside yourself and come up with one more smile.
Thought you could only give $1.00, give $2.00 just to prove to yourself you can.
Keep going.
Do not give up.
Find the determination to continue.
“When we run into problems and trials, for we know they are good for us.” Romans 5:3
