An Everyday Expression of Hope and Its Potential

An Everyday Expression of Hope

You Revive Me

Revive Me Lord

Usually, I will try to offer some witty application to a Bible verse.

Or a life lesson based on some experience.

Or an inspiring story based on someone who has overcome many obstacles.

I don’t have any of that tonight.

Actually, I have a very sobering approach to God and this phrase, “You Revive Me”.

The included video clip is from Passion 2012 and a beautifully written and performed song.

I have listened to it over and over the last hour or so.

Truly, the only way people are drawn to God and his purpose for their life is for them to hunger for Him above all else.

And why would any of us do that?

Because He has revived us.

“My soul cleaves to the dust. Revive me according to Your word.” Psalm 119:25

“I am exceedingly afflicted; revive me, O Lord, according to Your word.” Psalm 119:107

“Plead my cause and redeem me; revive me according to Your word.” Psalm 119:158

Take a few minutes, a little over seven in fact, and let God revive you.

John
