On Christmas Eve I was at a gathering and those present were going around the room expressing what they were thankful for at this time of year.
A younger married couple began to tell of their gratitude for their family, the celebration of Christ’s birth and other expressions more personal in nature.
However, it was one phrase that caught my attention.
The young mother spoke of their recently adopted son, a two year old, hand selected by God.
The mother said, “To think that little man right there was a product of prostitution. And God gave him to us.”
The awesomeness of God is that He can take any situation, regardless of it’s beginnings and have a divine design for that life.
So at the beginning of Christmas Day, my stomach is bloated, my eyes are heavy and my heart is full.
And this year, more than any other, the word “baby” is a treasured word.
“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21
