An Everyday Expression of Hope and Its Potential

An Everyday Expression of Hope

Between You And Me…

November 30, 2013 by John Hembree Leave a Comment

Friendsgiving PrayerThe last few days I have been pondering friendships.

Our seventeen year old daughter Suzanne was discussing her current friendships and if it is possible to remain as close for many years.

It was agreed that to maintain a long term friendship is work intensive.

Why?  Because it is a burden?

No.

Because it requires effort, especially in a situation where there is a geographic separation and lives take different paths.

Someone, hopefully both parties, has to make a consistent effort to maintain that friendship.

Otherwise, what once was so close can seem distant and far, far away.

Such is friendship.

Build those relationships that cause you to say, even before you leave their presence…

“…may the Lord watch between you and me, when we are out of one another’s sight.”  Genesis 31:49
