A Pastor’s Nighttime Prayer

I meet a lot of pastors.

Having grown up in and around church I am sensitive to what they deal with day in and day out.

Earlier today I was inspired to write the following prayer.

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord to kill some sheep,
If You return before I wake,
Let me the pick the ones you take.
Amen.
