An Everyday Expression of Hope and Its Potential

An Everyday Expression of HopeĀ

Hope For The New Year

December 30, 2012 by John Hembree Leave a Comment

You already know how the year 2012 went for you as a person, for we as a nation, for us as a global community.

Many already have a predetermined idea how 2013 will go. We plan, we wish, we determine, we proclaim, we set out, we pray.

And for all of this, only God truly knows the outcome.

Me? I have hope that this new year will be the toughest year yet.

As crazy as that sounds, it’s true.

For it is through adversity that we find our true self.

“Adversities do not make a man fail, they show what kind of man he is.”
Thomas a Kempis

So, here’s hoping for an adverse year.

For those who do not see a bright lining yet for the new year and may even be looking at the approaching days with a “false hope”.

There is no such concept as false hope.

It’s either hope for the future as in minutes, hours, days, years or decades away but it is still hope for the future, or, it’s no hope at all.

Hope is contagious and only takes one person to begin to spread it.

You be the one.
