Early this morning I had a thought pop into my head.
It was, “…an efficient use of time and a relentless pursuit of God.”
I rolled that around in my head for a couple of hours and decided to let that be my prayer for today. And then I rolled it around some more and decided to let that also be my prayer for other people today.
Here is that prayer.
“God, let me be efficient with my time and relentless in my pursuit of what You have for me this day. Amen.”
To go along with that thought, last night, I started a new book, Primal, by Mark Batterson, a great Christian pastor and author.
In the book, Mark Batterson presents that we have a primal instinct to pursue God and that from time to time, we have to get back to that primal pursuit of God.
He uses the following scripture and it perfectly goes along with my thought process for today.
Emphasis on the word ALL is mine, not Marks.
“And you shall love the God with ALL your heart, and with ALL your soul, and with ALL your mind, and with ALL your strength.”
I wonder today if my ALL is really only part of my ALL…
…in my relentless pursuit of God.
