An Everyday Expression of Hope and Its Potential

An Everyday Expression of HopeĀ

One To The Kisser

The world was my oyster but I used the wrong fork – Oscar Wilde

We are a people plagued with adversity.

I am not referring exclusively to Christians.

We do not hold a monopoly on problems.

But we take them the hardest.

We who, as a people, believe there is a God and His Son to watch over us and keep us from harm. When things do happen to us, it shakes some Christians’ faith. They do not understand why we should be handed these things.

I am a man that likes to keep things in perspective.

This idea that some seem to be spewing that there will never be problems as a Christian might need to read the Bible.

Or brush up on their history.

I have been facing adversity of my own recently. So has my family.

And in this hard time the first thing we want to do as human beings is to fold.

But I have recently been reading about the disciples that experienced our Lord.

Of the twelve that went out post- Resurrection, most died horrible deaths.

Skinned alive.

Crucified themselves.

These men knew way that were getting into.

Jesus never said that their life or any of ours would be easy.

We might have to take a few on the chin.

But I like to believe that if you’re reading this, it means that you won’t stop the fight.

I’ll even make you a deal.

I won’t stop if you don’t.

If this sounds like one of my typical rants, I apologize. I sometimes need to hype myself up. Get myself going.

Maybe you do too.

Vaya con Dios
