Just completed the book, The Fine Art of Small Talk by Debra Fine. Great book.
Now reading The Millennials by Thom and Jess Rainer.
America’s largest generation.
From 1980 to 1990.
One article I read has this generation going back to 1978, but for this purpose, we will leave it at 1980. If you were born in 1979, for example, you may have spent too much time listening to Salt N Pepa music and missed out on this very important generation and it’s world changing potential.
From the book.
“The Millennials are a generation that has hope for the future. Indeed, they are a generation that, as a whole, wants to make a positive difference for the future. Nearly nine out of ten indicated that they feel responsible to make a difference in the world.”
What a responsibility we have to speak to this generation.
They are awaiting leadership and direction from the church, from social institutions. They are inheriting a world which is basically a powder keg.
Who knows? God may have implanted the Kingdom of God within some of you, some of us, that if transplanted into some of them, may prove world changing.
Be open to where God is leading you to lead them.
