” True love is full acceptance.”
– Richard Grimes
How many people out there feel like they are not exactly normal? I’m pretty sure we all have something in our lives that makes us stand out.
We as Christians are people of all shapes and sizes.
We all came into the fold as individuals, with different goals and backgrounds. We also, unfortunately, came with our own problems. I thank God every day that nobody can physically see my emotional baggage that I take with me everywhere I go.
There is an entire world out there with baggage.
There are millions of people that don’t know of a place where their pasts don’t matter. They are searching for a place where they can find relief from all their problems.
There is relief in God.
But churches seem to not be interested in helping. We judge these individuals.
It’s almost always subtle and unnoticed by most.
But it is there.
And this blog is not necessarily to condemn these actions.
It is a wake up call.
These are the people we are meant to save.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
I could never put it any better than Jesus did.
We are all guilty of making snap judgments. Of sizing people up in a very short time.
That is a human behavior.
What we must remember is that these judgments are not always accurate.
And we can never stop reminding ourselves that we are supposed to care about these individuals that are struggling to find their way in this world.
The reason is very simple.
We used to be them.
Vaya con Dios
