“In the world’s broad field of battle, In the bivouac of Life, Be not like dumb, driven cattle. Be a hero in the strife.”
– Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
We live in a world reaching out for something.
We give ourselves away.
Every day there is a new film coming out about someone blessed with the ability to save lives and triumph over evil.
These films about heroes are some of the most successful films in history.
Why?
We feel this longing to be different; to be cut from a different cloth. The weight of our lives, the joys of the past and the uncertainty of the future, defines the decisions we make.
We watch from the sidelines, eager for all of it: the monuments and magazines, the books and the ballads.
Desperately looking for someone to save us.
We’ve got news for the world, don’t we?
Someone already has.
The thing is…..with knowledge this important comes a responsibility equally important.
We must spread the word.
That’s right. I am saying that we know what the world is looking for.
We can triumph over evil ( with some help that is).
Now I’m not telling you to go springing down the street after a purse snatcher in spandex (unless you’re into that kinda thing).
Show them the answer to their question.
Show them that there is only one answer.
Be a champion for Christ.
Be a hero for God.
Vaya con Dios
