When the men of the army led by King David approached their city returning home they found the city had been raided, was overthrown, burned and all of their families taken captive, wives, sons and daughters, all were gone. Moreover, the people who were left and the army wanted to stone King David, even though both of his wives were taken captive as well.
I Samuel 30:1-6
Things could not look worse. What did David do? David encouraged himself.
There was no one for him to turn to, no one to call, text, email or drop a note. He was all alone.
You may have, or may be now, experiencing a matter where you feel all alone and there is no one who will understand.
All I can suggest is encourage yourself. Find a mirror, a pool of reflective water, something where you can get a look at yourself and in that moment, encourage yourself.
Remind yourself of all the good things God has done and will do again.
If you will do this, it will only take a few moments until you feel your confidence coming back and your strength returning.
Practice this throughout the day and watch it change your whole outlook. Change your own life and then change the world.
