Can God make a stone so big that He can not lift it?
That is the same God you pray to. Ask Him to involve you in matters of great consequence.
I placed that as a status earlier this morning on FB.
As I was listening to one of my spiritual heroes, Ravi Zacharias, he used the question, “Can God make a stone so big that He can not lift it?”
That rung true with me.
He is such a big God and I pray to him as though he is a tiny God. At least I used to. Not any more.
I am not referring to praying to God so that he might dump material wealth out of the sky. I am talking about asking God to place you into matters that are of great consequence.
To be spiritually and historically significant.
“With Your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.” Psalm 18:29
Possible? As humans no. As the extension of God? Absolutely.
When you pray, pray as though you are changing the course of history. You are.
When you speak, speak as someone who has something to say. You do.
When you carry yourself, do so with confidence. Not arrogance, but confidence.
“For He that is within me…” (You finish the rest of it)
Someone sent me a text today and asked, “Do you ever loosen up and just have fun?”
I replied I used to be a lot more fun than I am now.
Now, I know that I am dying, we all are.
And the greatest fear of my life is to be well on in years and ask myself, “Did I take the days I was given and apply them to matters and people that were of spiritual and historical significance.”
Take this day and squeeze every moment out of it.
Find someone to share you heart and they share theirs with you.
Give, give give…
Live, live, live…
Love, love, love…
For in the end, you take nothing with you, but what you leave behind, that is the miracle.
