The mother anticipates both days with expectancy.
She has given birth not to a child, but to hope.
What mother does not listen to those things said regarding the child growing in her womb?
The mother of the Messiah, “Quietly pondered these things in her heart, and thought, how can these things be? Of what has been said.”
Have you ever considered that it only takes a mother nine months to prepare a child for years and years of life?
God listens intently to the prayers of an expectant mother.
Her prayer for ten fingers and ten toes.
Her prayer for the child’s health.
Her prayer for a child to find his or her purpose.
Her prayer for this child to be given to and used by God.
You have not only given birth to a son.
You have given birth to a young woman’s husband.
You have given birth to your grandchildren’s father.
You have given birth to someone’s best friend.
You have given birth to not only the “joy of your life”, but the joy of the lives of others as well.
You have given birth to a son that will cause people to smile.
He will comfort.
He will protect.
He will speak of things beyond his years.
He will alter the course of history in people’s lives just by his very touch and his words.
He will quietly exude confidence which will be contagious for others.
He will live out the prayers you have stored up within him.
He will confirm the promises God made to you about his life, even when he was in the womb.
He will exceed even your expectations for his life.
He will encourage those who have been swallowed by discouragement.
He will sit by the bedside of those who barely cling to life.
He will kneel with those who look for answers.
He will stand with those who can not stand for themselves.
He will talk with God as a friend.
And he will befriend many because he has spoken to God on their behalf.
You have not been part of the birthing of a child.
You have been the very vessel of the birthing of hope.
And many will find hope because of him.
He will lead them in an unassuming manner straight to the throne of God.
You will be amazed and in awe as to the extent of his influence.
Many will call you blessed because of his powerful gift and his gentle touch.
