Yester – adjective, of or relating to yesterday. You may be like me wanting to put your yester behind you. Let’s do! Let yesterday be just that…behind us. And let today be as great as yesterday was…well…not great. Because you have breath in your lungs, your heart is beating, your brain is functioning and you have the greatest gift at work in your body…life.
Archives for January 2016
One of my favorite lines from the movie, Pretty Woman.
Of course in the movie, Julia Robert’s character is referring to Richard Gere’s character as she watches him sleep.
But that line always comes back to me when I see someone sleeping.
That happened earlier this evening.
There is more than one way to pronounce the word water.
I went to several people and showed them a piece of paper and asked them to pronounce the word on the paper.
The word was water.
A Friday challenge.
Set a 5 minute block of time today where you put everything else aside and you think. Doing nothing but thinking. Imagine the possibilities that could come from that 5 minutes. You may arrive at a solution, idea or answer that could change yours or someone else’s life. Mine will be from 09:55 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Join me…let’s think!
Peaceful and quiet.
We each go through sunsets in our lives.
If we see the sunsets in our lives as a final experience it can be quite sad.
However, if we remind ourselves that a beautiful sunset will soon become a beautiful sunrise, just on another day, it gives us an outlook of an ongoing hope and of a new beginning.
A New Year requires a new outlook.
View the early days of 2016 this way…there are 361 days left of happiness heading your way…Tuesday is less than 24 hours from now…spring will be here in just a few weeks…and…and…and…
Don’t be distracted by a few days of challenges, no matter how large, when you can focus on the unlimited potential of tomorrow which is the gateway to the future.
And you will be finding them for days and weeks to come.
In places you never thought possible.
Kinda like life isn’t it?
Just because the calendar rolled over to 2016 does not mean that 2015 is forgotten altogether.
You may be one of those who looks for change every day, that today is better than yesterday and tomorrow will be better still.
However, when we find the left over needles from 2015, look at them as memories which have laid the necessary foundation for a prosperous and wonderful 2016.
