We each can relate to this preceding verse.
Exhausted, thirsty and eyes swollen.
Waiting for God to act.
In recent weeks, I have given myself to much thought concerning my own life.
And I have found myself in a place of waiting.
For how long?
I do not know.
The end result?
Neither do I know that.
The process of waiting?
You may be waiting as well.
Because we have no promise, no guarantee, for that which we are waiting to happen, actually will.
Life offers us no path to guaranteed happiness and contentment.
Yet we have this reminder, and even though at times, while waiting, I am like a screaming wounded beast, I always return to a calming faith.
“What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.” Hebrews 11:1
