…was given to you?
What if all that you wished for…
A simple thought really.
We so often stop short in our efforts to gain what was in our hearts and minds to achieve.
We gave up because the other person did.
We gave up because all those around us said it could not be done.
We gave up, because other seemingly high achievers did not make it happen.
We got tired.
We became weary in our efforts.
We could not see what was in front of us.
Like the picture of the man with a pick, we stopped digging inches before we discover what we have worked so hard to find.
We walked away inches, feet, a day, a month, too soon.
If it is a God given dream or vision you have, you will not have to worry about there being a big crowd also working toward the same dream or vision.
There will be few believers.
There will be many critics.
Often those whom you know well.
An encourager will come by every now and then.
You will at times feel totally alone in your quest.
Do not let others take away your focus from your pursuit.
In the book of Nehemiah, which is a very encouraging chapter in the Bible, the enemies of Nehemiah, come or send a message to him, on five separate occasions.
Nehemiah was leading many Jews to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.
His enemies, Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshem the Arab, discouraged him, threatened him, lied about him and with much effort tried to stop the rebuilding of the walls.
So much so, that the men rebuilding the walls worked with a tool in one hand and a weapon in the other to protect themselves.
Nehemiah made this bold statement.
“So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?”’ Nehemiah 6:3 (NASB)
Do not fear.
Do not be intimidated.
Do not stop.
You are only inches away from your God placed destiny.
