If you had to sum up your present experience, your current place in life, how would you do that in nine words?
What an exercise that could be.
Take a moment, a pen and a piece of paper and start jotting nine word phrases.
Would “I love you” be three of the nine for those we are surrounded by, both friends and family?
Would “I miss you” be three of the nine for those who have gone on before us?
Would it be the prayer prayed by the thief on the cross, “Lord, remember me, when you come into your kingdom.”?
I began this exercise earlier and I narrowed my present day experience to nine words that hopefully would be communicated to those I may one day leave behind.
Then I narrowed different phrases down to reflect my hope for the future.
Here are the nine words for the future.
“My Hope is in the name of the Lord.”
Found in various forms throughout the book of Psalms.
May we hope in Him so that His Hope may be found in us.
