At most athletic venues there is a scoreboard.
The scoreboard will give an accounting of which team has more points or runs.
But a board of electronic data cannot distinguish the team that cannot lose.
The team that will not be defeated.
In the scene posted from, We Are Marshall, those left behind are asked to remember and play for those who have gone on.
In order to do that they are asked to, “Lay it all on the line”, and if they do that as a team they cannot lose.
Eleanor Roosevelt has been quoted as saying, “No man is defeated without, until he has first been defeated within.”
If you can remain strong, with your head held high in spite of the circumstances, though they may appear to be overwhelming, you cannot be defeated.
There is no defeat in God, there is no surrender.
When outnumbered, when outscored, when faced with insurmountable odds.
The heart of a person will remain long if it can remain strong.
If you are going into a challenge where the odds are overwhelmingly against you, remember that you are not alone.
With God, you cannot lose.
With God, you simply cannot be defeated.
Regardless of what the scoreboard says.
