Our seventeen year old daughter Suzanne was discussing her current friendships and if it is possible to remain as close for many years.

As you go about your Thanksgiving weekend stop and take a moment to give thanks.
Write a note to at least one person.
Let them know how thankful you are that they are in your life.
Two minutes and forty six cents will change someone’s world.
They called it “Friendsgiving”.
We each have places and / or people where we find rest, where we find comfort.
We each search for that place to lay our head, if only for a moment.
I found rest this afternoon.
On the back of a bookmark laying on the floor were these words.
“Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.” Psalm 62:1
Having grown up in church, attending nine months before I was even born you have the opportunity to witness many interesting events.
One of my favorite types of settings in the church environment is the testimony service. It is when people speak of what God has done in their lives.
What if someone wished that upon us and it came true?
Can you imagine the disaster that would cause?
Unfortunately, due to a technical issue regarding the publishing of our blog the entry I Know What You Mean is not able to be published at this time.
It will be replaced by another entry.
We apologize for the technical difficulty beyond our control.
I would walk several miles in the morning at a brisk pace usually averaging six to seven miles per day and built up to a one time trek of 22 miles.
Back in the 1980’s I had ran two marathons, so psychologically I was prepared and physically my endurance was building each day.
Every morning, I would leave out early when it was darkest. Living in a semi-rural area there would be little light to guide me.
“Teach us to number our days…” Psalm 90:12
You have probably seen the recent very popular commercial for Geico Insurance where the camel is going through the office from person to person trying to get them to say what day it is. When one co-worker finally says under duress, “It’s Wednesday.”, the camel gets excited once the magic words have been said and finishes the commercial with, “Hump Day!! Yeah!!”
Great commercial. To the camel hump day is not just any other day.
It is a special day.
On the eve of this new week, I have already determined how the next several days will go.
You have as well.
