A couple of weeks ago Forbes Magazine published an issue with the 70 most powerful people in the world listed. I have always enjoyed writing notes to people of influence and affluence just to see what would happen, so…I made it a goal to write the 70 most powerful people in the world and ask them a question. By the way, if you are wondering, Google is a fantastic resource for addresses. Except for Hu Jintao, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China. Little secretive over there. I wil catch up with him on Facebook or text.
The notes to these powerful people are similar in theme. I explain to them briefly who I am, that I serve in a group of 18-25 year olds and I would like to share with the group the answer to the following question, “What is truth?” It will take some time to get these notes out and if I get any answers back at all, it iwill be interesting to compare their responses.
All this to say, there are 7 billion people on the planet. I would encourage you, I would say challenge you, but, no one likes to be challenged anymore, so, I would encourage you to pick a person on the planet, find their address and jot them an intelligent, polite note and see what will happen. I did this with some of my former high school teachers a few years ago and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Find someone, take a piece of paper or note card, a pen, your thoughts, and…and…see what happens.
Who knows? You may be the tipping point in that persons life on the day they read it. That is how you change the world. One person at a time.
Just a thought.
